I am an assistant professor at the Technical University of Munich where I work at the Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Informatics in Medicine and the Institute of Radiology.

I obtained my medical and doctoral degrees from LMU Munich, my Master’s in Business Administration for Healthcare from FAU Nuremberg and my specialist radiologist board certification at TU Munich. I did a postdoc in AI for medical imaging at the Department of Computing at Imperial College London, where I remain as a Research Associate.

I lead the Healthcare Unit at OpenMined, where I am also a member of the Steering Council.

My research interests revolve around machine learning for medical image analysis, probabilistic methods and secure and private artificial intelligence.

I am very lucky to work with a diverse, multidisciplinary team of physicians, computer scientists and basic researchers. If you would like to work with me, either in terms of a collaboration or if you are a student looking for a research project or a thesis, please get in touch!
